Heh, what a change this is. I get home and my first instinct is to write on my blog, no matter how mundane today's events seem. Actually, I am probably going to end up complaining. Why? Well, upon my return home, I am now (still) super broke, slightly irritated that my foot is sore and acting up again, and so out of gas that I don't think I will be able to back out of the driveway tomorrow.
I'll start with the story of my foot, as it's the worst one for me at the moment -- my being broke will fix itself tomorrow when I go to get my pay check. It was a couple of weeks ago or so when I rolled my foot and fell while walking to MAX. I was on my way to see friends I hadn't seen in a long while. Being that I'm usually very clumsy and have a habit of finding every crack in the sidewalk, I got up and brushed it off as if nothing had happened. Fast forward three or four weeks, and the damage, I believe, as become more apparent. I cannot walk down the street without having a difficult time walking back, and getting on my hands and knees to clean results in a cramp in my foot. I'm going to try and wrap it up a bit to see if the pressure helps any.
On top of my foot causing me trouble, I also had trouble picking up my pay check today. I was actually pretty excited this morning when I went to work -- I was going to get paid, which meant I could put gas in my brother's truck. It really needed it, as the gas gage was getting really close to empty. So I go to work with the intention of getting my check on the way home. Well, it really wasn't ON the way home, I had to go out of my way to get to the office, and I got there only to find that the office workers had gone home early. Which is ok with me, I can't expect them to wait around just for me to pick up my check. However, when I got to the parking lot, the gas gage had hit the orange bar. I am pretty sure I got back here just in time, and that I actually don't have enough gas in the tank to back out of the driveway.
Tomorrow will be interesting. I'll have to find two dollars so I can take the bus to go get my check, and deposit it. I am lucky that I snagged the gas can out of my dead car when I brought my brother's truck up here, I think I'm going to need it.
